Winery Notes:
The Vintage:
Cool temperatures during the spring delayed bud break and bloom by three to four weeks. Consistently warm summer temperatures lengthened the ripening period. Many sites began harvest three weeks later normal.Warm, dry days in October allowed the grapes to hang a bit longer, creating depth without sugar accumulation.

Fruit was sourced throughout Washington state, including the Horse Heaven Hills, Yakima Valley and other parts of the Columbia Valley. After gentle pressing, the juice was cold settled for two days. Inoculation with VL3, Alchemy II and Epernay II yeasts initiated alcoholic fermentation. 22% of the wine was oak fermented, predominantly in neutral barrels.

Flavor Profile:
“This Chardonnay displays aromas and flavors of fresh apple with subtle hints of vanilla and buttery caramel. On the palate, notes of sweet oak and spice give way to a soft, lingering finish.”- Keith Kenison, Winemaker

Recommended Food Pairings:
Chicken kiev, lemon pepper salmon, seafood alfredo
