Winery Notes:
Viña Chocalán's philosophy is best summed up in a word: quintessential. The Toro family, winemaker Patrick Valette and consulting viticulturist Eduardo Silva all believe that only the best and most privileged terroir, paired with careful nurturing for the vines and only the best winemaking environment will produce the optimal results. The family-owned estate covers more than 100 hectares and is positioned in a dynamic microclimate within an "amphitheatre" created by the surrounding hills. Perfectionists by nature, the Toro family are very hands-on at every level of the winery's operation, and have selected acclaimed Bordelais winemaker Patrick Valette, who is known for his delicate style and ability to produce memorable wines with particular finesse.
