"Aromas of smoke, roasted fig, honeysuckle and melon are opulent, with a spicy, herbal edge. Not as rich and potent as some vintages, but likely to gain. Drink now through 2018. 373 cases made." (WS)

"The 2010 Chardonnay Richard Dinner Vineyard shows gorgeous textural depth and richness. Lemon, vanillin, sweet spices and butter are some of the notes that flow through to the creamy, expansive finish. This is another terrific wine in 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.

This is a dazzling set of Chardonnays and Pinots from Paul Hobbs. The wines are made with native primary and secondary fermentations, aged on their lees and bottled without fining of filtration. Readers may want to check out my video interview with Paul Hobbs on www.eroberparker.com for more details. Vintages 2009 and 2010 are both strong, but I find myself favoring the 2010s for their greater verve and focus. Either way, it is virtually impossible to go wrong with any of these new and upcoming releases." (WA)

Winery Notes:
This hillside vineyard has been a mainstay in our portfolio since 1991, the year Paul Hobbs Winery was founded. The elegantly pure chardonnay is a golden straw color and exhibits a nose of white flowers, honeydew melon and stone fruits. Notes of lemon chiffon, custard, white peach and Golden Delicious apple fill the mouth, intermingled with intense minerality. Alcohol 14.2%
