"The 2010 Chardonnay Cuvee Agustina Richard Dinner Vineyard is superb. It bursts from the glass with layers of expressive tropical fruit. There is more than enough richness and sheer stuffing to balance the oak in this extroverted yet polished Chardonnay. This is a striking effort. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2018.

This is a dazzling set of Chardonnays and Pinots from Paul Hobbs. The wines are made with native primary and secondary fermentations, aged on their lees and bottled without fining of filtration. Readers may want to check out my video interview with Paul Hobbs on www.eroberparker.com for more details. Vintages 2009 and 2010 are both strong, but I find myself favoring the 2010s for their greater verve and focus. Either way, it is virtually impossible to go wrong with any of these new and upcoming releases." (WA)

Winery Notes:
Our Cuvée Agustina Chardonnay exhibits a tantalizing golden opal hue, and is perfumed with golden delicious apple, pear, baking spices, caramel and a touch of exotic citrus. The palate is intoxicatingly powerful, offering concentrated vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and toasty spice flavors. Layers of minerality lead to a seemingly endless finish. Alcohol 14.1%
