"Serves up a complex mix of creamy fig, honeysuckle, anise, baked apple and spice flavors, all while maintaining a tight, upright posture and ending with a long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2020. 2,400 cases made." (WS)

"The 2010 Chardonnay is a gorgeous wine laced with expressive varietal fruit, smoke, butter, minerals and French oak. This is a fairly restrained style, yet all of the elements are in perfect balance. A long, subtle finish rounds things out very nicely. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.

This is a beautiful set of wines from Pahlmeyer. The wines are increasingly more refined and elegant than in the past. The absurdly heavy bottles, on the other hand, are very 1990s. In other words – out of touch." (WA)

"Slightly hazy medium yellow (all these wines are bottled without fining or filtration). Exotic, leesy aromas of lemon curd, pineapple, butter, tropical fruits and licorice. Youthfully aggressive on the palate, with a pineapple flavor framed by brisk acidity and complicated by flowers and salty minerality. Finishes with notes of peach nectar and toasted graham cracker. I find this a bit youthfully disjointed today. New winemaker Josh Widaman began working here in 2008 and will vinify for the first time in 2012." (IWC)

"Wonderfully deep and amazingly well-concentrated Chardonnay aromas of ripe apples, tart pears, sweet citrus, rich and lush oak and just about everything else that can fit comfortably into the variety's best aromas burst from the glass here in an unrestrained and incredibly involving rush. Yet, despite the obvious fullness, richness and range, the wine is quite well-balanced at every stop. Admittedly, some will find this wine too big, too stuffed for their preferences, but for those of us who look for wines of this type to accompany our richest white wine dishes, the search has no need to go any further. Reviewed: April 2012" (CG)

Winery Notes:
"This Chardonnay exhibits a bright yellow hue, and tropical fruit and nutmeg spice on the nose. The core is highlighted by a mouth watering viscosity balanced with a tightening acidity and flavors of lime zest and pineapple. On the finish, hints of a fresh baked Parisian baguette complex with orange blossom, and notes of coconut husk." – Erin Green, Winemaker November 2011

"An abundance of aromas flow from the glass of the 2010 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Chardonnay. Lime zest and honeysuckle lead to notes of vanilla and fondant. Clean, crisp acidity balances rich peach-like nectar on the palate. The mouthwatering, expansive finish evolves from notes of orange zest and lemon meringue to toasted brioche and graham cracker." – Erin Green, Winemaker May 2011
