"Pure, rich layers of blackberry and wild fruit are intense and focused, firming with a crushed rock minerality and a long, persistent finish. Drink now through 2022. 1,459 cases made." (WS)

"Good price for a Syrah of this quality. Edges past the ordinary into true elegant complexity with the smooth tannins and perfectly ripened flavors of black currants, oatmeal cookie, dark chocolate and crushed black pepper. Best now and through 2010." (WE)

Winery Notes:
This wine defines Paso Robles Syrah with enticing, opulent flavors of black cherry accented by hints of sweet vanilla oak and baking spices. Reminiscent of a true Rhône wine, Eberle Steinbeck Vineyard Syrah is beautiful in its youth, but will age gracefully over the next several years!

The 2010 vintage shows the restraint of an Old World style Syrah, earthy and spicy, combined with “New World” fruit characteristics. This full bodied wine has firm upfront tannins with aromas of blueberries and baking spices. The palate is filled with rich dark blackberry fruit, hints of smoky oak, black pepper and coffee.
