Winery Notes:
Founded in 2008, Brack Mountain Wine Company is a next generation wine company focused on producing artisanally made, small-lot, premium wines offered at a fair price. These wines are vinified exclusively by Brack Mountain Wine Company, and all wines are finished in bottle or keg and stored in our wine cave beneath Brack Mountain, until day of delivery.

Vineyards-‐ Sangiacomo Amaral Ranch-‐ Located on the Southern Sonoma Coast, just north of the San Pablo Bay. The Bay has a buffering effect on the temperature of the vines warming them in the cold and cooling them in the heat. This area is very windy resulting in small, often stunted vines. Yields are low and the constant airflow aids in developing great Pinot flavors. Vintage-‐ The 2010 vintage was one of the coolest growing seasons in decades, with low yields, which resulted in excellent fruit quality. The grapes benefited from long hang times and a high level of organic acidity at ripening.

Sensory Notes: Color is a well-‐extracted deep magenta. The nose suggests morning dew on blackberries with notes of hazelnut and tangerine peel. The flavors are of rich, loamy earth, then the fruit notes of blackberries, wild strawberry and pomegranate, finished with clove and allspice. The mouthfeel is viscous and rich.
