"Hints of spice and graphite accent this creamy red and its flavors of black cherry coulis, grilled plum and sweet bread, with light tannins on the finish. Drink now through 2016. 12,500 cases made." (WS)

Winery Notes:
Wine Description:
This intense ruby red wine is made with 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% Rondinella, in the traditional Ripasso technique, typical of the Valpolicella area. The Valpolicella wine, produced in October, undergoes a second fermentation on the Amarone lees in February. This process boosts color, body, tannins and aromas, resulting in a dense and more concentrated wine.

Tasting Notes:
Corte Giara Ripasso offers a generous and elegant bouquet, with jammy notes of ripe fruit and black cherry intermingled with vanilla, cinnamon and tobacco. On the palate, it is dry and full-bodied, with chewy tannins.

Food Pairing:
Ideal with braised meats with polenta, grilled fillet mignon, quail, sliced beef with mushrooms, rack of lamb, and medium-aged cheeses.
