Aguijon de Abeja Torrontes 2010 made by Pablo & Hector Durigutti

Winery Notes:
Tasting Notes:
A new style of Torrontes. Fresh, lively, and compelling. Pale straw colored in the glass, it offers aromas of fresh fruits, dried spice, and white flowers. Crisp acidity on the palate, it has balanced tropical and citrus fruits and a refreshing finish. A great warm-weather sipper with well poised texture.

The symbiosis of two different oenological backgrounds are fully expressed in the wines of the brothers Durigutti. Pablo flourished in the American market, while Hector in the European one. With an avant-garde philosophy, a young approach and new technology, they blend choice grapes from different regions to obtain the best wines possible.

The Winery:
The old Maza winery, built in 1953 is now Durigutti Winery. Located in the Las Compuertas district Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winery today offers the same period facade, but behind the walls lies a modern interior. A direct reflection of their diverse backgrounds, Durigutti employs techniques both traditional and modern. Piage, natural yeast, hydraulic presses, temperature controlled stainless and concrete tanks, and french oak barrels all do their part to make this a truly exceptional winery.

Vineyard Notes:
Location- Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. Deep rooted in mineral rich soils, and irrigated by water direct from the Andes mountain range. The terroir here offers the perfect frame within which to produce sophisticated wine. The high altitude vineyards are blessed by sunny days followed by cool nights.
