"Bold aromas of briary wild berry and cracked pepper lead to plush and layered black raspberry, toasty sage and espresso flavors that finish with zesty tannins. Drink now through 2016. 69,000 cases made." (WS)

"As always, obvious ripeness is the Seghesio calling card, but that in no way detracts from what in this vintage is a full measure of juicy, blackberry fruit. Ample oak and flashes of milk chocolate sweeten the wine's way, and there is more than enough depth and richness at work here to successfully offset the slight heat that breaks through at the end. Reviewed: January 2011" (CG)

Winery Notes:
A blend from sites in Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley. Flavors of dark ripe cherries and sweet raspberries followed by velvety mouthfeel.

Our family roots are firmly planted in Zinfandel as our Great-Grandfather, Edoardo Seghesio, first planted Zinfandel on our Alexander Valley Home Ranch in 1895. Today, we share his passion as we farm over 400 acres of estate Zinfandel in the worlds best growing regions for the grape --- Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys. This wine combines sites that have produced Zinfandel for over a century with newer sites that utilize proprietary clones and the most advanced viticultural practices.
