"Focused, seamless and generous with its dark berry, tar and floral flavors, gliding easily through refined tannins into the long finish. This has depth and presence. Drink now through 2019. 535 cases made. " (WS)

"The 2009 Pinot Noir Dussin Vineyard is the Penner-Ash estate property that surrounds the winery and was planted in 1993. It is more structured than the preceding wines, has an extra layer of savory fruit, plenty of spice notes, and floral aromas. This impeccably balanced effort is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and will drink nicely through 2019.

Veteran vigneron Lynn Penner-Ash had just celebrated a milestone birthday prior to my visit and, like her wines, she appeared to be evolving gracefully. The current collection includes two white wines." (WA)

"Full ruby-red. Powerful, oak-spiced aromas of blackberry and cherry, with a pungent floral quality and a hint of licorice. Shows the ripe side of the year, with palate-coating dark berry and floral pastille flavors and a sexy note of spicecake. Leaves mocha and vanilla notes behind on the long, sappy, smoky finish. This could handle a rich piece of roasted or braised red meat." (IWC)
