"A big, fruit-driven red, serving up heady raspberry ganache, blueberry cobbler and grilled black Mission fig notes that pick up steam through the spice- and smoke-filled finish. Drink now through 2016. 240 cases made." (WS)

"The 2009 Bramare Malbec Rebon Vineyard displays considerably more complexity than the Appellation Malbecs. Captivating aromas of exotic spices, floral notes, and assorted black fruits titillate the nose while pointing to an opulent, plush, pleasure-bent wine with superb volume and length. Give it 2-3 years to fully unwind and drink it from 2014 to 2024.

Vina Cobos is a partnership between Paul Hobbs, Andrea Marchiori, and Luis Barraud. The new releases are further confirmation that Vina Cobos is one of Argentina’s great producers. The Felino label has for a number of years been synonymous with value." (WA)

"Saturated medium ruby. Superripe aromas of blackberry and dark chocolate verge on liqueur-like. Creamy, suave and smooth in the middle, with black fruit, sassafras and cola notes lifted by a violet element. Turns a bit more aggressive and medicinal on the back end, finishing with serious tannins and a slight warmth. Give this a few years to settle down." (IWC)
