"The 2009 Tres Olmos is 100% Verdejo made from ancient pre-phylloxera vines and aged sur lie for 6 months. It offers up an alluring perfume of jasmine, mineral, nutmeg, white peach, and apricot. In the glass it displays unusual richness for Verdejo, impeccable balance, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Drink this pleasure-bent effort over the next 3-4 years. It is an outstanding value.

Garciarevalo is a family owned winery started in 1991. The estate consists of 40 hectares, much of it planted to vines over 100 years of age." (WA)

"($17) Greenish straw. A complex bouquet displays scents of lemon zest, melon and white pepper, with a sexy floral quality coming up with air. Juicy, precise citrus and pear flavors gain sweetness in the glass and are nicely braced by tangy minerality, which picks up steam on the back half. A suave blend of depth and vivacity here; the finish is bright, incisive and very long. (De Maison Selections, Chapel Hill NC)" (IWC)

Winery Notes:
Wine Maker Notes
After a few years of investigating a couple of old vines plots that we own in Matapozuelos we opted for utilizing native yeast and extend lees aging to bring out the full nature of the site.

Tasting Notes
Limes and citrus notes combine with a waxy component. The palate shows many complex elements such as marzipan and citrus derivatives. The finish is lengthy and round.
