"This is noticeably riper though it avoids falling over into surmature fruit or prune notes. The wonderfully textured, intense and tautly muscled flavors possess excellent depth of material as well as mineral notes that add a sense of lift to the mouth coating finish that also displays a touch of sweetness. Like the straight Corton, I suspect that this sweetness will dissipate with bottle age." (BH)

Winery Notes:
This family-run Domaine was created at the end of the 19th century by François Tollot. The family name came from the alliance of Alexandre, Francois’ son, who married Aurélie Beaut. The Domaine Tollot-Beaut has vineyard holdings in 16 different appellations in the communes of Chorey lès Beaune, Beaune, Savigny lès Beaune, Aloxe-Corton as well as Grands Crus of Corton and Corton-Charlemagne. In the 1930’s the Domaine Tollot-Beaut acquired the vineyard of Corton-Bressandes, the same decade during which they began to export their wines to Great Britain and the United States. Today, three cousins run this 55-Acres property. All three are avid believers in continuing the family business with rigorous and exigent work both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
