"Firm and concentrated, featuring a mix of smoky oak, ripe plum, wild berry and fresh earth flavors, as well as chewy tannins. This is a rustic, rough-hewn wine now that may reward cellaring. Best from 2011 through 2017. 232 cases made." (WS)

"The 2008 Pinot Noir Lindsay Estate Cuvee Agustina, which comes mostly from the Calera clone, is a firmer structured, more tannic and reserved effort than the regular bottling. It cuts a broad swath across the palate with lots of berry fruit and foresty notes, but it is less revealing than its sibling. Give this impressive Pinot 2-3 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 10-15 years.

The irrepressible Paul Hobbs fashioned a beautiful portfolio of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in both 2008 and 2009. His style of Chardonnay comes directly from the Burgundy handbook, meaning cool vineyard sites, full malolactic fermentations, lots of lees contact and the use of well-established clones, such as the old Wente and occasionally some of the newer Dijon clones. The 2009 Chardonnays are slightly more perfumed as well as lower in alcohol." (WA)

"Saturated red. Very expressive, pure aromas of raspberry, blackberry, violet, Asian spices and bitter chocolate. Then velvety and broad, with sweet, fruit-driven flavors of black raspberry and boysenberry. An alluring, suave style, expanding on the back half and finishing with a fine dusting of tannins and spices." (IWC)

Winery Notes:
This very special selection from Lindsay Estate is comprised of just two massal selections, or types, of pinot noir. The blend is chosen to showcase texture, concentration and structure. Deep ruby in color, it boasts excellent depth of flavor and elegance on the palate, opening with pure, ripe black cherry and pomegranate along with nuances of cedar, cardamom and Darjeeling tea leaves. Sweet, fine-grained tannins permeate a long finish accented with floral notes and subtle minerality. Alcohol 14.8%
