"This medium-bodied red offers good cut and drive to its black cherry and plum pudding notes, which remain fresh on the spice- and mineral-tinged finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 300 cases made." (WS)

"The 2008 Malbec Reserva was sourced from an 83-year-old estate vineyard in Las Compuertas and aged for 14 months in second-use French oak. It proffers an already complex nose of spice box, leather, lavender, smoke, and assorted black fruits. Ripe, sweetly-fruited, layered, and long, this beautifully proportioned Malbec will evolve for 2-3 years and deliver prime drinking from 2013 to 2023.

Ksana’s wines are made from indigenous yeasts and bottled without fining or filtration." (WA)

Winery Notes:
Ksana refers to the Buddhist idea of infinity in an instant. Likewise, we believe at the moment of tasting a wine, one experiences its vineyard's history and winemaking process. The correct combination of these is what will make a wine last in your memory forever. The Ksana wines are unfiltered; malolactic fermentation occurs in the oak; and indigenous yeasts are used to express the terroir. The vineyard is very densely planted (7,900 plants per hectare) with very low production per vine (0.6-1.1 kg); this adds to the wines' ultra-concentration. The Ksana winery and estate 90 year-old vineyard is located in Las Compuertas, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winemaker is Pablo Durigutti and the vineyard manager is María de los Angeles Morchio Giol.
