"($60; blended with 7% cabernet franc) Bright ruby-red. Cassis, black cherry and bitter chocolate aromas lifted by a violet note. Nicely balanced, fruit-driven wine with supple flavors of cassis and boysenberry. The floral quality of the estate's cabernet comes through in spades. Very successful for this second wine thanks to the high quality of the vintage." (IWC)

Winery Notes:
Crafted in the same exacting manner as the Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Lyndenhurst, our companion estate Cabernet, is created from select wine lots that are lovely and expressive!

The Lyndenhurst name comes from our estate’s heritage. In 1908, the property was called “Lyndenhurst” in honor of the linden trees that still grace our garden. Our historic pre-prohibition stone winery building adorns the label.

Stunning aromatics of plum, butterscotch and coffee are a generous invitation to our 2007 vintage. A rich palate of fresh dark berries, cherries and vanilla lead to deliciously sweet tannins. Seamless from aroma to finish, this wine is wonderfully representative of this incredible vintage and a Lyndenhurst not to be missed!

Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon … the wine to drink while your Spottswoode ages gracefully in your cellar!
