"The 2005 Les Pagodes de Cos is a delicious second wine, with soft tannin, a dense ruby/plum/purple color, loads of blackcurrants, cherries and some earth in an easygoing, sexy style. Drink it over the next decade or more." (WA)

"(a 50/50 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot) Ruby-red. Coolish aromas of black cherry and licorice. Supple, fresh and fruit-driven, with enticing floral lift to the sweet, pliant flavors. Finishes with ripe tannins. Excellent for this second wine." (VM)

"A wine with plum, spice, and currant character with full body, and silky tannins. Lovely texture to this wine. Give it a year or two to soften. Second wine of Cos. Better in 2015." (JS)

"The second wine of Cos d'Estournel is from selected parcels of lesser or young vines. This produces a style that is soft, with jelly black fruits, dense but generous tannins and a juicy aftertaste. Open and likely to be ready to drink in 4–5 years." (WE)

"From a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon , the wine offers tobacco, earth, blackberry, red plum and coffee bean aromatics. Medium bodied with soft textures, and ripe tannins, the wine ends with a spicy, red and black fruit filled finish. This is alreadydrinking well now and should improve for at least another decade. 90 points - Tasted Oct 7, 2011" (JL)
