"Blackberry, spice and tobacco follow through to a full-bodied palate, with silky tannins and sweet, ripe fruit. Long finish. Refined. All in harmony. Best after 2011. 5,750 cases made. –JS " (WS)

"Beefy, masculine, vigorous, full-bodied wine, the 2003 Saint-Pierre is just beginning to hit full maturity. A lovely bouquet of cedarwood, forest floor, roasted herbs, black currants, new saddle leather and spice is followed by a long, well-made, beefy, rich, voluptuously textured wine with low acidity and ripe tannin. Drink it over the next 7-8 years." (WA)

Winery Notes:
79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc.

A lovely dark, intense colour, the bouquet is subtle and elegant, with strong fruit aromas. On the palate, the wine is fleshy and full, the sign of a hot year and very ripe grapes. The tannins are abundant but not harsh.
