"Lively acidity creates a lip-smacking frame for the flavors of Anjou pear, smoke, preserved lemon and white raspberry in this minerally Champagne. Drink now through 2018. –AN" (WS)

"The VC brand ambassador, the NV Brut Yellow Label (an assemblage of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier) is currently based on the 2012 vintage and contains 35% reserve wines. On the nose, ripe and intense (yellow-fleshed) fruit aromas intermix with a very nice maturity from the reserve wines. Disgorged in January 2015 with a dosage of nine grams, this is a medium-bodied, yet round and full-flavored Brut. It possesses biscuit and nutty flavors, and a nice freshness and complexity in the intense, aromatic finish. Indeed, this is very delicate and impressively good.

Honestly, I have never tasted better Champagnes from Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin than I did in March this year. The cuvées were as fresh as they were complex, and I left the company with a sense of wonder. If only they could export their perfect storing capacities! La Grande Dame is the star, but it won't do you any harm taste or re-taste one of the 13.5 million bottles of the Yellow Label. I was also impressed by the white Vintage Brut 2008." (WA)

"(roughly 50% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay and 20% pinot meunier; Lot 14009913): Light gold. Musky orchard fruits and dried fig on the mineral-accented nose. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering smoky pear and nectarine flavors and a hint of honey. Finishes on a gently spicy note, with very good cling and a touch of bitter lemon pith. Things have definitely begun to turn around for this bottling, which had been lagging behind the winery's vintage offerings for some time." (VM)

"The best-selling Champagne in the U.S. follows the Veuve Clicquot house style of softness and ripeness. It’s fruity, with an attractive almond and toast edge that suggests this bottle has seen some age. It’s immediately drinkable and fresh with balanced acidity at the end." (WE)

Winery Notes:
Clicquot's signature brut non-vintage is loved the world over for its crisp, full flavors, consistent quality and celebratory yellow label. This classically-styled, dry Champagne is a blend of two-thirds black grapes (Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) for body, balanced with one-third Chardonnay for elegance. It has a fine persistent sparkle and golden Champagne color. Its complex nose of apple, citrus and caramel is followed by full flavors with elegance, crispness and a slightly spicy finish.
