"This deftly woven Champagne is all about finesse, offering a rich vein of smoky minerality and vivid acidity. The power is cloaked in a silky texture and notes of creamed pear, lemon confit, almond biscotti and fresh ginger. Drink now through 2021.—A.N." (WS)

"The Ruinart NV Brut Blanc de Blancs LAHMTA1JE is appealing in a rather simple, fresh apple and lemonade way – attractively garlanded in honeysuckle and heliotrope – its dominantly fruity character arguably influenced by the high proportion lots from Champagne’s relatively outlying Sézanne and Vallée de la Vesle, and certainly by the completion of malo-lactic conversion. A salty tang and piquant twist of lemon rind lend some invigoration to the finish and help temper the surprisingly noticeable sweetening effect of nine grams residual sugar. This is definitely for consumption over the coming year." (WA)

"($65) (LAHMT): Pale yellow. Complex, high-pitched aromas of orange zest, lemon pith, iodine, smoky minerals, anise and jasmine. Sappy and tactile on the palate, offering impressive volume to its ripe citrus and orchard fruit flavors accented by smoke and minerals. Finishes tangy and long, with lingering smokiness and an echo of anise." (VM)

"A very appealing and satisfying style that fully captures the elegance and poise of chardonnay. The aromas here are all based around lemons, grapefruit, honey, fresh floral notes, stone fruits and toasty autolysis – which is somewhat of a signature for this Champagne. The palate delivers a ripe, flavorsome impression of peach custard and lemon crème brûlée. The acidity is nicely placed and the the finish upbeat with vibrant fruit expression. Drink now." (JS)

"Soft, ripe and fruity, this has a generous texture rounded with an attractive touch of toastiness and rich pear flavors. At the end, with its steely aftertaste and acidity, the wine shows a firmer structure and density. It’s very much in the rich Ruinart style. R.V. (12/1/2014)" (WE)

Winery Notes:
Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is smooth and rounded on the palate. A balanced wine with a beautiful luminous pale gold colour, enhanced by the elegance of the clear bottle. A perfect summer aperitif champagne, delectable sipped by the pool or on a sunny terrace. At table, a light, delicate dish such as grilled sole would be the perfect partner.
