"This restrained wine integrates its firm acidity nicely, which provides a backbone for the hints of white peach, lemon curd, dried apple, ground white pepper and smoke. A bit shy today, but try with charcuterie or other light fare to open it up. Drink now through 2016. 3,000 cases imported.–AN " (WS)

A TRULY FINE QUALITY FRENCH CHAMPAGNE AT A REMARKABLE $24.95 PANNIER CHAMPAGNE SELECTION BRUT

In all my many, many decades in the world of fine wine this is the first time I have come across the winning Champagne of Pannier. This sparkler is a blend of all of Champagne’s major varietals, being 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier and is bottled by a grower’s co-op. (How do I know it’s a Co-Op produced? Because in small letters near the labels bottom it uses the letters, “C.M” -whose designation indicates the Co-Op producer is a blend from at least several growers in the Champagne region of the famous World War One battle sight of Chateau Thierry.

This Pannier Champagne is full-flavored, rich, sturdy Champagne yet proudly displaying the finesse real Champagne is so famous for and why it is the finest sparkling wine in the world (by far).

The normal price for this Champagne is around $30 plus a bottle with L.A. Wine Company having it on special for only $24.95--allowing it to be one of the very best Champagne around selling (on special) for under $30.00 a bottle! (Martin's Guide to Wine Bargains)
