Winery Notes:
Established in 1932, the Cariñena D.O. is one of the oldest protected growing areas in Europe. Located in the heart vof the Ebro Valley is Aragón, Spain, the passion for vine growing has been passed fown through generations. Garnacha is the most widely planted variety in Cariñena, maknig up 55% of the total planted acreage.

Vineyards:
The vines are subjected to extreme conditions, growing in clay soils consisting of loose rock, calcium carbonate, and slate. Beacause of this, the wines of Cariñena have become known as “vinos de las piedras” or wines of the stones. With outstanding mountainous landscapes and natural lake preserves, the vineyards enjoy a Mediterranean-style climate with warm, dry days and cool nights.

Winemaking:
Our Garnacha is made using traditional methods combines with the most modern winemaking techniques. It consists of 100% Garnacha and hand harvested from our estate vineyard, where the vines are between 25-30 years old. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to enhance the grapes bright, fruit flavors.

Profile:
The 2015 Garnacha is fresh, fruity and approachable at a young age. This medium weight wine has bright aromas of red fruits, followed by a smooth palate of ripe cherries and black fruit. The clean and elegant finish boasts soft tannins, which make it a perfect pairing for roasted meats and everyday sipping.
