WINEMAKING TECHNIQUE:
This wine is a true regional blend sourced from estate and trusted vineyards throughout the Russian River Valley. Our Kelli Ann estate vineyard adds fruit concentration and richness. Neighboring long-term trusted vineyards bring depth with layers of ripe apple and pear and brighter citrus notes with lively acidity. Vineyards from Guerneville Road layer in complexity with impressions of stone fruit and white flowers. Blocks and clones are kept separate until final blending to allow the greatest range of expression.

Fruit was handpicked at night or in the early morning hours. To capture vivid fruit flavors, a gentle whole cluster pressing removed juice from skins and seeds. The juice was allowed to settle overnight before racking into 100 percent French oak barrels (33 percent new), where primary and malolactic fermentation took place to fully marry the vibrant Russian River Valley fruit character with smooth oak components. The wine rested eight months in barrel, with the lees stirred once every three weeks to accentuate a rich mouthfeel. The wine was racked just once before bottling.
