Winery Notes:
Vineyard: the vines are in the village of Meursault, above the the Premier Cru parcel “Les Genevrières”. This climat is the best climat for the Villages. East exposure.

Soils: clay and limestone with a little bit more chalk. The slope is strong.

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay-Guyot pruning with different seasonal processes in the vineyard (pruning, trellising on wires/tying-in, thinning fruit-bunches). The vines are 55 years old.

Winemaking: the grapes are harvested by hand and sorted when picking the grapes. They are then lightly pressed in a pneumatic press at a low pressure to get a slow extraction. After a gentle racking of the must, the wine is put in French oak casks of 228 liters (1 5% of new oak) for both of alcoholic and malolactic fermentations with wild yeasts and wild anaerobic bacteria for16 to 18 months. During this time, we did no stirring of the lees in the barrels. A month before the bottling, the wine from the different barrels is put in a stainless steel tank to make the blend. The wine is finally fined and lightly filtered before bottling it according to the lunar calendar(“fruit” day for Meursault “Les Narvaux”).

Tasting notes: Wine with great mineral character. The notes are mainly focused toward flint and citrus. The mouth is lively and full of complexity. Incredible length and long ageing potential.

To serve with: sea food, grilled fishes, white meats.

A wine from a village level but with a premier cru complexity. Considered a premier cru among the professionals. An ideal wine to pair with food.
