"A zesty, vibrant style, with lively cherry, plum and raspberry flavors picking up a dusty, cedary edge. This tilts toward grainy tannins on the aftertaste but the flavors remain persistent. Drink now through 2022. 938 cases made.–JL " (WS)

"Made from five different parcels in the vineyard, all of which are planted to different clones, the 2014 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard is a pretty, feminine and elegant wine that offers lots of passion fruit, sappy herbs, flowers and violet aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied and silky on the palate, with sweet tannin, it has impressive mid-palate depth, notable tension and vibrancy (which is the hallmark of this site) and a great finish. Drink it through 2022.

These latest releases from Siduri’s Adam Lee offer loads of fruit and forward, pretty, balanced profiles. Don’t miss the appellation bottlings, as they can be just as good as the single vineyards and represent terrific values." (WA)

"Ruby-red. Intensely perfumed red fruit and rose scents are complemened by deeper-pitched notes of cola and licorice. Lithe and sharply focused on the palate, offering sweet raspberry and cherry flavors and a touch of white pepper. Shows excellent clarity and lift on the finish, which features suave, velvety tannins and repeating floral character." (VM)

"Among the richer, more immediately fruity of the new Siduri Pinots and a wine that earns high marks for its varietal precision, its admirable depth and its very careful construction, the 2014 from Rosella's Vineyard shows plenty of volume without ever tipping the scales in the direction of being too much. Its juicy appeals definitely invite early drinking, yet its concentration and balance provide reasons enough for a few years of waiting. Reviewed: February 2016" (CG)

"Adam Lee makes some concentrated wines each vintage, and this one shows cherry syrup, sandalwood and some smoke on the dense, layered nose. The palate is similarly deep, rich and complex, with tangy cherry, mulberry, dried ginger and mace flavoring, rising into a chorus of camphor on the finish." (WE)

Winery Notes:
The Rosella’s Vineyard is a truly remarkable vineyard site. Nearer the northern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands, it is generally the coolest vineyard that we source from in the region. This cool location allows the grapes to have a longer hang time, even in earlier ripening years like 2014, and this leads to a more diverse range of flavors. The real key to the Rosella’s Vineyard is blending these flavors and sections together. We spend more time working on this blend than just about any other wine, coming up with various possible blends and tasting those blind side-by-side. This work, from vineyard to the blending laboratory, is what makes the Siduri Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir truly special. The 2014 Siduri Rosella’s Vineyard Pinot Noir is a blend of 31% Pisoni Selection, 26% 777 Clone, 23% Pommard, 15% Clone 23, and 5% 828 clone Pinot Noir. We picked these five sections between September 8 and September 24 and fermented each section separately. We used whole clusters in the ferments of both the Pisoni Selection and the Pommard Clone Pinots but destemmed all of the clusters on the other three clones. Each clones was fermented separately and made into an individual wine. We then blind tasted every barrel to blend together the finest possible Rosella’s Pinot Noir. These barrels were blended together and racked back to French oak where they remained until bottling in August 2015. This wine was bottled without fining or filtration and is both vegan and tested gluten-free.
