"This shows an alluring whiff of warm shortbread, providing a good contrast to the more typical mix of lemon curd, gooseberry and white peach flavors. Maintains zip and drive through the focused finish, picking up a floral hint. Drink now through 2019. 700 cases made. –JM " (WS)

"The 2014 Sancerre d'Antan is another icon wine of the domaine. From a flinty, pretty stony and almost organically farmed vineyard planted in 1936, fermented in oak and aged on the fine lees, this cuvée was bottled without fining and filtration. It is a very clear, deep and aromatic Sancerre with intense fruit and fascinatingly flinty/mineral aromas on the nose. It has a full-bodied, round and elegant palate with a clear, slightly oaky fruit and dry, very long and refreshing finish with a lovely phenolic grip and stimulatingly bitter citrus (grapefruit) flavors. The aftertaste is enormously pure and salty and reveals a dramatic youth and aging potential." (WA)

"Oak aging and no filtration give this beautiful wine richness and dense texture. A touch of spicy toast contrasts with the melon and grapefruit flavors, smoothly ripe texture and nutmeg aftertaste. The wine is concentrated and full in the mouth. This opulent wine is still young, so wait until late 2017 to drink." (WE)

Winery Notes:
This wine is full of aromas such as lime, verbena but also delicate mineral nuan- ces (flint). In mouth, fresh touch of grapefruits, almonds, hawthorn and light touch of coconuts. Its minerality gives it a great lengh. Concentrated, full and fine, equally excellent when young or up to 6 -8 years ageing
