"Pale bright yellow. Highly aromatic nose combines peach, ginger and quinine. Rich, sweet and nicely concentrated, with a ripe peach flavor complicated by saline minerality and a toasty note from the 10% new oak. Carillon owns five hectares of village vines in Puligny-Montrachet; he blended this wine at the beginning and has 120 barrels of this juice. A lovely village wine in the making." (VM)

"The slightly curious nose mixes reduction and floral aromas. On the plus side there is an excellent sense of underlying tension and detail to the utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel, all wrapped in a sleek, focused, complex and well-balanced finale. Note that this classy villages is well worth your interest and it should also drink well early." (BH)
