"The 2014 Zinfandel Steinbeck Vineyard (100% Zinfandel) is a head turner that has tons of Zinfandel charm in its bramble, spice box, wild herbs and sweet red and black fruits. Rich, textured, medium to full-bodied, upfront and ready to go, it too should drink nicely for 4-5 years. It's also an excellent value. Eberle continues to make solid, well priced wines that deliver plenty of character." (WA)

"Made with grapes from the Steinbeck, Wine-Bush and Cocavin vineyards, this Zin is packed full of baking spice, dark strawberries, smoked beef, black pepper and gingerbread on the rich, inviting nose. The palate shows a tad more restraint, but offers juicy black plum, rounded cola, dried thyme, peppercorn and pencil lead flavors." (WE)

"Deep, spicy, plummy, blackberry jam aroma with hints of olive & black pepper; full body, briary, black fruit flavors with jammy richness in the mouthfeel; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended." (CGV)

In 1978, Gary became one of the first winemakers to produce a 100% Syrah varietal wine in the United States. Gary secured bud wood from U.C. Davis originally obtained from Chapoutier's planting in Tain Hermitage. With this, he planted twenty acres of Syrah in Paso Robles in 1975. This vineyard has been our main source of Syrah for over 30 years. The 2013 vintage is a full bodied wine that has firm upfront tannins, rich dark fruit flavors of black berries and blueberries with hints of smoky oak, black pepper and coffee.

The plush flavors and supple tannins of Eberle's Syrah makes it a perfect complement to a variety of meats including Gary's famous barbecued pork or beef ribs, roasted rack of lamb or smoked duck.
