"The light gold colored 2014 Chardonnay 3 D is a fresh, lively and beautifully defined Chardonnay. It offers lots of white fruits, white flowers, brioche and caramelized citrus characteristics to go with a fresh, lively, gorgeously pure style on the palate. As I commented last year, there have been significant changes at Brewer-Clifton recently and Steve Clifton is no longer involved at the estate. However, Greg Brewer remains the driving force here, and his 2014s are beautiful wines. In addition, Greg remains one of the few winemakers not afraid of true richness and ripeness, and his wines are better for it. " (WA)

"The 2014 Chardonnay 3-D is the most powerful and dense of the Brewer-Clifton Chardonnays. There is no shortage of depth or concentration here, although I feel the 3-D has a bit less nuance and detail than some of the other Chardonnays in the lineup. At times, the 3-D feels more like a Pinot in its construction, weight and overall phenolic profile." (VM)

Winery Notes:
This bottling is comprised of 100% estate chardonnay from our 3D vineyard offering power, intensity and a citrus oil- like texture.

VINEYARD:
The primary emphasis of the predominantly sandy 10 acre vineyard is chardonnay, with equal amounts of five clones planted (4, 76, Hyde, Mount Eden and Sea Smoke Wente).

CRAFT:
Only neutral Sirugue barrels are used for 12-18mos. Whole Cluster pressed chardonnay. We do not promote or prohibit malolatic fermentation, allowing wine to be in balance, bright and elegant.

CELLARING:
All of the single vineyard wines are produced with the intention of aging and cellaring for at least 10 years and can easily be enjoyed after 15 years.
