Chewy, sappy and dense, conveying an almost iodiney minerality and outstanding sucrosite leavened by firm acidity. The salty finish is savory, tactile and very long, if a bit youthfully austere. This reminded me of a Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet. " (VM)
"A deft touch of wood sets off pretty and ripe aromas of white peach, citrus and honeysuckle that are also nuanced by lemon hints. The generous, rich and notably refined middle weight flavors possess good energy on the clean and dry finish but not the same complexity. This certainly has the requisite material for more depth to develop but it remains to be seen if it will ultimately match the best of these 1ers." (BH)
