"Dark purple. Ripe dark berries and cherry pit on the nose, accompanied by a hint of licorice that builds in the glass. Fleshy, broad and smooth and smooth, offering pliant blackberry and cassis flavors that tighten up on the back half. Finishes sweet and long; smooth tannins add frame to lingering dark berry preserve flavors." (VM)

"Boosted by 5% Petit Verdot, this bottling shows lush aromas of fudge, black plum, black currant, soy and black pepper. The palate is dense and thick with more black fruit as well as caramel, purple flowers, milk chocolate and mint-chip ice cream, proving concentrated and decadent." (WE)

Winery Notes:
95% Bootjack ranch, 5% Heart Hill vineyard

95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot

In 2013, we encouraged tannin development alongside dark fruit notes, creating a wine that masterfully balances fresh fruit expression with complexity and length. Ripened plum and black cherry on the nose accented by carnations and rose. Savory fennel cuts through sweet notes of vanilla bean, creating a luscious and enticing aroma. The palate is intensely gratifying, with a soft entry and full finish that melds tannin with rich fruit. 2,958 cases produced.
