"Vivid orange-pink. Lively, spice-laced aromas of orange zest, redcurrant and jasmine, with a deeper raspberry note in the background. Sappy, penetrating and emphatically red fruit-dominated on the palate, with a hint of white pepper adding urgency and back-end cut. Winery Notes:
Taltarni’s vineyards in the Pyrenees are the source of two highly coveted sparkling wines - Taltarni Brut and Taltarni Taché.

Taché is the French word for ‘stained’. At disgorging Taltarni Taché is stained with red wine, which imparts the unique taste and elegant salmon colour. Taltarni’s Taché 2011 is a blend of three classic sparkling wine varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Winemaker Comments:
2011 was one of the best growing seasons for sparkling fruit Taltarni has ever experienced in its illustrious history. We had an extended cool summer, with moderate rainfall, but little disease, which allowed the fruit to ripen slowly on the vine, creating complex and distinct varietal characters along with succulent natural acidity.

This wine has developed lovely structure and secondary yeast characters because of its time on lees, displaying a hint of bread on the nose, which is balanced with a creamy texture. The addition of a dosage liqueur of aged Pinot Noir at disgorging, produces beautiful complementary strawberry and rose petal aromatics and a balance of acidity and sweetness, which results in a truly elegant sparkling rosé.
