NEW LOWER PRICE!! DRINKING WELL AS WE HAVE JUST RE-TASTED!!

"A pure beam of cassis runs along hints of warm stone, violet and red licorice, with a focused finish. Drink now through 2016. 70,000 cases made. -JM" (WS)

"A real winner from this estate, this blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot is widely available and generally sells for under $20 a bottle in the American marketplace. Plump, fleshy black currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with some cedar wood, vanilla, and incense jumps from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, attractive, somewhat denser than usual style for Larose Trintaudon. Nevertheless, the tannins are sweet and the acidity low, so drink this sleeper of the vintage over the next decade.

A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc." (WA)

"Aromas of blueberries and raspberries with minerals follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a chocolate, vanilla aftertaste. Needs time to integrate. Better after 2014." (JS)

"One of the largest estates in the Médoc, this misses being in Pauillac by being-literally-on the wrong side of the rail tracks. Regardless, the location ultimately gives the wine depth and richness. It’s ripe, dark, dense and very structured, showing the new wood that will integrate. Drink from 2018. -R.V. (5/1/2015)" (WE)

"Medium bodied, clean, ripe and drinkable, there are some nice dark red fruits and espresso notes in the nose, that ends with a soft finish. Not bad for an inexpensive quaffer. 87 points - Tasted Mar 10, 2015" (JL)

FINE BORDEAUX "STAND BY" A $19.95 WINNER IN 2010 CHATEAU LAROSE-TRINTAUDON - HAUT-MEDOC

The Cru Bourgeois Chateau Larose-Trintaudon has been a regular in the L.A. wine scene for many decades. There 2010 is one of the best vintages I've tasted from this Chateau, which happens to cover a huge nearly 300 acres in the Haut-Medoc producing over a 100,000 cases a year.

Again I agree with and quote Robert Parkers associate Bordeaux reviewer when he writes of the 2010 release, rates it a 89 (though I go a point or two higher) and calls it, "A real winner from this estate, this blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot is widely available. Plump, fleshy black currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with some cedar wood, vanilla, and incense jumps from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, attractive, somewhat denser than usual style for Larose Trintaudon. Nevertheless, the tannins are sweet and the acidity low, so drink this sleeper of the vintage over the next decade."
