ONE OF MANY AWESOME UNDER $25.00 BARGAINS FROM THIS FANTASTIC VINTAGE. WE RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY!

"Solid spice, tobacco and mulled fig notes are laced with iron and singed cedar hints. A slightly taut feel on the finish holds this back a touch. Drink now through 2015. 16,415 cases made. –JM" (WS)

"A major sleeper of the vintage, this blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is another “best ever” performance. Notes of tobacco leaf, hot rocks, sweet kirsch and black currants are impressively displayed in this medium to full-bodied, velvety textured, very seductive style of wine. Drink it over the next decade." (WA)

"A solid red with ripe plum, cherry and vanilla character. Full and savory with round and ripe tannins and a long, intense finish. Approachable, but better in 2015." (JS)

"89-91 Barrel sample. Solidly packed tannins, very firm and structured, a feeling of considerable extract as well as a high toast content. -R.V. (8/9/2010)" (WE)

"A blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon produced a wine that opens with truffles, earth, dark fruit and coffee aromas. Soft and already accessible, this is a crowd pleaser and a great example of a Bordeaux value wine. 88 points - Tasted Feb 20, 2013" (JL)

$19.99 GOLD MEDAL WINNING 2009 FINE BORDEAUX GRAVES 2009 CHATEAU de CHANTE-GRIVE, GRAVES ROUGE

What should impress you and I about this left-bank Graves is that it’s from the truly fabulous 2009 vintage (a year I personally consider the GREATEST Bordeaux vintage of my life span that includes such years as 1959 and 1961 etc.). The ’09 Chateau de Chantegrive, even at its modest price, illustrates well the richness, elegance, smooth harmony and complexity of the 2009 Bordeaux wines. This red Graves is a blend of equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and prestige wise it won the highly respected GOLD MEDAL at the ”Concours Mondial” in Brussels in 2011.

I am in complete agreement with Robert Parker when he personally reviewed this wine, ranked it a 90 and noted, “A major sleeper of the vintage, this blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is another “best ever” performance. Notes of tobacco leaf, hot rocks, sweet kirsch and black currants are impressively displayed in this medium to full-bodied, velvety textured, very seductive style of wine. Drink it over the next decade.”
