"Dark ruby in color, with aromas of coffee, dark chocolate and blackberry. Medium- to full-bodied, with dark chocolate, berry and almost seamless tannins. Has a caressing texture. Best after 2011. 1,680 cases made. –JS" (WS)

"Notes of earthy blackcurrant and black cherry fruit along with some new saddle leather and new oak are present in this medium to full-bodied wine made by Denis Barraud. Normally this is one of the sleepers of St.-Emilion, but in 2005 it falls just short of that. It is certainly excellent and can be drunk now or over the next 10-15 years." (WA)
