Winery Notes:
Location: Saint-Christoly du Médoc.

Area under vine: 12 hectares.

Wine grape variety: 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc.

Age of vines: 30 years.

Vine density: 8,000 vines per hectare.

Terroir: 60% gravel and 40% clay-limestone soil.

Viticulture: Traditional Bordeaux pruning method. Bud thinning in spring followed by leaf thinning in summer, and green harvesting if necessary.

Winemaking: The grapes are hand-picked into small crates, sorted both before and after destemming, and put into vat using gravity flow. Cool pre-fermentation maceration. Manual punching down of the cap. Malolactic fermentation and ageing on the lees in new French oak barrels.

Yield: 40 to 50 hectolitres per hectare.
