"La Prade was the estate of Nicolas Thienpont during this era. The 2005 exhibits loads of incense, spice box, blackcurrants, and black cherries as well as touches of licorice and underbrush. It is medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and like so many 2005s, a bigger, more masculine and intense wine than normal. Drink it over the next 6-8 years." (WA)
"(malo recently finished) Good saturated ruby. Vinous aromas of cassis, blueberry and menthol. Cleanly made, tight and penetrating, with youthfully backward black and blue fruit flavors. Extremely primary, with firm tannic spine and lingering blueberry flavor. Dense and concentrated for this Cote de Francs property on argilo-calcaire soil." (VM)
